The
Eco Kettle has been invented to specifically meet the challenge of reducing
the amount of energy wasted by overfilling your kettle. With the Eco Kettle,
you can fill the kettle to the brim and simply press the central button
in the lid to release a specific amount of water (1-to-8 cups worth) into
the boiling chamber. This easy, simple method of accurately ensuring that
you boil only the water that you need means that you can save the planet
while on your tea break!
Using the Eco Kettle will save electricity, it will save water, it will save you time (it comes to the boil really fast) and it will save you money. And what's more, choosing the easy Eco-Kettle-way to conserving energy while boiling water, helps minimise carbon dioxide emission levels. It's an easy, simple and valuable choice to make.
In independent consumer trials, directed by the Energy Saving Trust,
the ECO kettle used over 30% less energy than standard
kettles - Defra estimate that If everybody in the UK used an ECO Kettle,
we would save 1,270,000,000 KWh of electricity every
year! See Defra report here.
The Eco Kettle was invented, in the UK, by Brian Hartley and designed
and developed for the marketplace by Product Creation Ltd. The Eco Kettle
was showcased quietly at the HomeTech Expo (Feb 2004)in Cologne, Germany
where it aroused great interest and enthusiasm from kettle distributors
worldwide. Production began in Summer 2004 and the buzz about the Eco
Kettle continues to spread. The Eco Kettle was the top selling kettle
in the UK throughout the summer months of 2005 and demand is increasing
exponentially as more and more people get to find out about it.
