The Eco Kettle
Saving Energy
How it Works

The Eco Kettle has been invented to specifically meet the challenge of reducing the amount of energy wasted by overfilling your kettle. With the Eco Kettle, you can fill the kettle to the brim and simply press the central button in the lid to release a specific amount of water (1-to-8 cups worth) into the boiling chamber. This easy, simple method of accurately ensuring that you boil only the water that you need means that you can save the planet while on your tea break!

Using the Eco Kettle will save electricity, it will save water, it will save you time (it comes to the boil really fast) and it will save you money. And what's more, choosing the easy Eco-Kettle-way to conserving energy while boiling water, helps minimise carbon dioxide emission levels. It's an easy, simple and valuable choice to make.

In independent consumer trials, directed by the Energy Saving Trust, the ECO kettle used over 30% less energy than standard kettles - Defra estimate that If everybody in the UK used an ECO Kettle, we would save 1,270,000,000 KWh of electricity every year! See Defra report here.

The ECO Kettle was invented in the UK by Brian Hartley, and designed and developed for the marketplace by Product Creation Ltd. Since it's launch in the UK in 2005, around 200,000 ECO Kettles have been sold in the UK and around the world, making estimated CO2 savings of over 1,000 tonnes! It is still the only kettle to be awarded the Energy Saving Trust's 'Recommended' mark, and contributes to the UK Government's Carbon Emmissions Reduction Target.

In September 2009, Product Creation launched it's new range of ECO Kettles featuring new styling, finishes and features - including alternative temperature selection for the times when boiling water isn't needed. Saving even more time, energy and money!
